Welcome to District Brewer - Cafe Bentleigh, a charming cafe nestled at 36 Brewer Rd, Bentleigh VIC 3204, Australia. This delightful establishment is more than just a coffee stop; it’s a community hub where warmth and excellent service meet their culinary offerings. With a phone number easy to remember at +61 455 232 467, easy accessibility is just one of the many perks of this lovely spot.
Step inside or bask in the sun in their cozy outdoor courtyard, and you'll quickly see why it’s a favorite among locals. The ambience is light and airy, making it an inviting place for a casual brunch, a quick coffee, or a hearty meal. Families will appreciate the kid-friendly amenities, which include a plethora of books and coloring materials to keep the little ones entertained while you indulge in your food.
The beverage menu is impressive, offering a variety that caters to every palate. From refreshing brews by Symmetry to delightful chai lattes by CHAI B0Y, beverages like the Vietnamese iced coffee are must-tries, praised for their taste and unique preparation. The smoothies – such as the Peanut Nutter and the Brewer Punch – are not only delicious but packed with nutrition. A personal highlight for me was the Matcha Latte, a perfect blend of earthy flavors.
When it comes to food, District Brewer does not disappoint. Guests rave about dishes like the K Town Reuben and the Pulled Pork Benedict. The former combines free-range pastrami and kimchi with a delightful spicy mayo, while the latter features a slow-cooked pork dish, surrounded by vibrant apple slaw and poached eggs. Each bite was a dance of flavors and textures that had me craving more.
But it’s the Mushroom Benedict that consistently garners rave reviews. This dish, crafted with poached eggs, house hash, and a medley of mushrooms topped with a tarragon hollandaise, received enthusiastic nods from diners who described it as "a combination you can’t go wrong with." The balance of flavors and the quality of ingredients speak volumes about the attention to detail at District Brewer.
If you're in the area, a visit to District Brewer - Cafe Bentleigh is not just highly recommended; it’s a culinary experience waiting to unfold. Dive into their menu, and you’ll find something to satisfy every craving. I left with a full heart and a satisfied palate, eager to return to sample more of what this wonderful cafe has to offer.

Googled “best cafe Bentleigh” spontaneously and we found ourselves transported to District Brewer … and it lived up to the hype from the google reviews! We tried the: ▪THE MUSHROOM BENEDICT ($22.50) poached eggs, house hash, dashi, mushroom medley, spinach, fried enoki and tarragon hollandaise ▪SUPERSALAD ($22.50) with edamame, spinach. brocollini, halloumi, ancient grains, soft herbs, pomegranate, almonds with extra chicken ($6.00) ▪KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN ($23.00) gochujang & honey fried chicken, pickled veg, butter lettuce, chilli Mayo, American cheddar, coriander milk bun ▪Vietnamese iced coffee ($6.00) Overall such a tasty brunch feast! The mushroom benedict was tasty, all the different individual elements was perfectly cooked, and loved the different textures on the plate. Hollandaise poached eggs, mushrooms and hash brown is a combo you can’t go wrong — Overall admittedly it is quite a heavy, oily dish - but so yum The Korean Fried chicken was really juicy, great flavours and such a yummy burger. The supersalad was quite filling - loved the different ingredients and the flavour profiles and textural combinations that they brought to the salad, but we did find the dressing quite underwhelming as it tasted like just plain vinegar and oil. I was a bit skeptic seeing the Vietnamese iced coffee on the menu, but it was surprisingly so good. You can really taste the coffee and the condensed milk and it was a really enjoyable drink. It’s a little small for the price and the coffee isn’t insanely strong but I’d happily order it again next time I’m back. We were seated in the outdoor courtyard which was perfect for a sunny day like today - with the Sun rays pouring in but sheltered so it’s not too hot! There was also an abundance of toys outside for the little ones to play with whilst you enjoy your meal.

Didn't know about this place but came up as local Cafe to try and a great Cafe in back streets of Bentleigh. We had coffees (soy lattes and flat whites), birches muesli and avocado on toast with ricotta and side of spinach. $59. Alas avocado came with poached eggs so husband had these. Quite generous serving and I couldn't finish so I'd made mistake adding spinach. District Brewer is really light and airy and has lots of seating outside as well (front and back). Very kid friendly as evidenced by kids menu and a whole shelving unit set up with books, colouring materials etc etc. They are obviously popular as inside a couple of large tables had reserved signs on them. They also have a selection of sweet and savoury items to takeaway.

Just moved to Bentleigh and this was my first time here although my parents had been before and recommended. I thought it was really good, great food and great service. All the food and drinks were yummy and fresh. There were 6 of us and no one had any complaints about their food. Would definitely come again and also recommend. The only critique I have is that the house made hash is way too thick but that’s a personal preference so wouldn’t take a star off for that.

We visited this lovely café and had such a great experience! The ambiance was cozy and inviting — perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying some time alone. The food was great, and the coffee was smooth and well-balanced. We also tried the dessert, which was fresh and full of flavor. A charming spot that I’d definitely recommend. Looking forward to going back soon!

Overall a really nice little cafe. I ordered the chilli scramble which tastes amazing, however the serving was incredibly small. The egg is put over the top of two pieces of bread so it initially looks impressive but when you take it off the bread it showed that it was mostly all bread and very little scrambled egg. Apart from that it was great.
